Harcharan Singh Brar

Harcharan Singh Brar (January 22, 1922- September 6, 2009) was the Chief Minister of Indian Punjab from August 31, 1995 to November 21, 1996. He succeeded the assassinated Chief Minister Beant Singh. [1]

He was previously the governor of Orissa from February 1977 to September 1977, and then was Governor of Haryana from 1977 to 1979. He died in Chandigarh on September 6, 2009 after a long illness. He was 86.[2]
